With the Report Application Server (RAS) SDK, you can build a web-based report designer. The report designer enables users to create, modify, and view reports in a web browser. In addition, this SDK allows you to modify many aspects of a report's design, such as the tables and fields it uses, its grouping and sorting options, and its report parameters, directly from the data source. For example, with the RAS SDK you can create applications that allow fields to be added or removed, before a report is viewed. This feature is especially useful when the data source for a report changes, or when the number of fields displayed changes frequently.
